 In General 

  • For us to keep doing what we love (which is to keep making our delicious products for you and make you as happy as reasonably possible!), both you and we agree to these Terms and Conditions.
  • Orders will be deemed as either ‘ordinary’ or ‘immediate’.  Ordinary orders are those for collection or delivery at a time being at least 48 hours in advance of either collection or delivery.  Immediate orders are those for collection or delivery at a time being less than 48 hours from placing the order, and, importantly, upon prior confirmation of the order by us, subject to our capacity.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason whatsoever.
  • Products may differ slightly from the reference photos.
  • Delivery time cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on several factors, including the driver’s unique route for the day and Gauteng’s notorious traffic conditions.  If you need your product at a specific time, we recommend ordering for the day before your special event.  For your peace of mind, we recommend opting for delivery of your product by our team.
  • If you opt for collection and your order is not collected from us within 48 hours, your cake may be sold or destroyed without notice to you.
  • For a number of health, safety and regulatory concerns, we may not take back any product that you will not ultimately keep.

    Part of the Process

  • Please keep your proof of purchase, the cake board and proof of payment. These are important prerequisites we will need to render any possible assistance to you and we may not be able to assist if you do not have them.
  • Ordinary orders may be collected during our operational hours from 09h00 and immediate orders may be collected during our operational hours from 11h00.
  • If you are dissatisfied with your product, on condition that you notify us before leaving the store in the case of collection, and within 2 hours in the case of delivery, you may be entitled to either a refund or a voucher, subject to these Terms and Conditions.

     Cancellation and alterations

  • We require at least 48 hours’ notice to either cancel or alter any ordinary order.  A change in any customer particulars, including contact details and address, amounts to an alteration.
  • When we timeously receive notice to either cancel or alter any ordinary order, it is subject to an administration fee, i.e. 5% of the total order cost.  Depending on the nature of the alteration, there may be additional costs, which will be communicated to you before proceeding.
  • We will unfortunately, not cancel or alter any immediate order.
  • If you initially opt for delivery and then opt for collection instead, your delivery fee will not be refunded or offset.

     Best practices

  • Cakes are heat-sensitive!  If you are collecting, please have adequate space on a level surface, such as your front passenger seat footwell.  We recommend you drive straight home/to the event venue with the air-conditioning on, and avoid stopping along the way.  Please drive carefully and cautiously.
  • To ensure freshness, please ensure that our products are stored appropriately.  Our cakes should be kept in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, and enjoyed within 3 days. Leftovers should be stored in a sealed container at room temperature.  Macarons and cupcakes should be kept in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • All our products are freezer-friendly and can be frozen for up to 2 weeks. We do not recommend storing any of our products in the fridge.

     Refunds

  • Refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis.  The determination of a refund vests solely in us and is contingent on you adhering to what we require of you in order to potentially proceed.  We will unfortunately, not be able to assist if you are not positioned to provide us with all the information we require, within the timeframe we require.
  • In an instance that a refund is not to be issued, a voucher redeemable with us may be issued instead; again, this is at our sole discretion.
  • Refunds take approximately 10 to 14 business days to appear in your bank account and you may be asked for proof of payment before we can process the refund.
  • If you do not collect your order from us within 48 hours, it may be disposed of and you will not be entitled to either a refund or a redeemable voucher.

     Disclaimers and limitation of liability

  • At the instance of either collection or delivery of your order, all risk in respect of the product shall pass to you.
  • Any damage to your product after an order has either been delivered to you or left our store in the case of collection, may, if fixable, be corrected by us at cost.
  • We are not liable for any damage, loss or delay that is outside of our direct control.
  • All products may contain allergens, both in our products themselves and as a result of being made with love in a place where the same is commonplace.  Without limitation, this includes milk, wheat, nuts, edible flowers and eggs.  We will not be held responsible for any adverse reactions to any ingredients, including damage or loss of any kind.  This, importantly, remains your responsibility at all times.  If in doubt, ask us.
